Humanitarian Assistance from the U.S.

The Embassy of Belarus in the U.S. expresses its gratitude to humanitarian partners in the United States of America for continued efforts aimed to provide vitally needed humanitarian assistance to institutions of healthcare, social protection, and education of the Republic of Belarus.

According to the Department of Humanitarian Activity of the Directorate of Presidential Affairs of the Republic of Belarus, registered foreign gratuitous assistance from the United States totaled $17.36 million in 2022 (55.8 percent of the 2021 level). In 2022, the U.S. came second among donor countries, only slightly behind Russia. The U.S. share of total humanitarian assistance in 2022 made up 19.86 percent (30.38 percent in 2021).
