Belarusian-American Investment Forum

The first Belarusian-American Investment Forum, to be held at Grand Hyatt New York on September 22, 2014, will become a unique open platform for the discussion of the actual aspects of cooperation in the investment sphere between the representatives of the government authorities and potential investors.

The Forum will be attended by representatives of global leading companies, international financial institutions and government agencies of Belarus and the United States. The Belarusian delegation will be headed by Mikhail MYASNIKOVICH, Prime Minister of the Republic of Belarus. Top level executives of the Ministry of Finance, National Bank, Development Bank, Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, High-Tech Park and Industrial Park Development Company will attend the Forum.

It is planned to discuss the ways of improving the investment climate in Belarus. The participants will receive detailed information about the investment potential of Belarus, including the advantages of the Common Economic Space of Belarus, Russia and Kazakhstan. Also, major investment projects of Belarus will be presented.

Reasons to take part in the Forum:

  •  to engage in open dialogue between representatives of business and government;
  •  to discuss issues of common interest and concern;
  •  to interact with major players of real and financial sectors of the economy;
  •  to get familiar with success stories of international companies;
  •  to hear experts’ viewpoint;
  •  to learn about major national investment projects.

About 500 people, among them 300 foreign participants from 42 countries including 190 commercial companies with the total capitalization of more than $ 2 trillion attended the Belarusian Investment Forum in 2012. Twenty three Belarusian investment projects with the total investment amount of over $ 1 billion were presented. Rrepresentatives of the largest companies from the Netherlands, Italy, France, Korea, Japan, China, the UAE and Qatar participated in the event.

With the direct assistance of the National Agency for Investment and Privatization, 12 MOUs for the amount of more than $200 million were signed.
